    Happy New Year 2020 Style

Hey y’all, it’s Hope here and you know me…I’m so excited!!! Here it is! New Year’s Day …and if you know me, you already know how I feel about it! I LOVE THIS DAY! Now listen, I’m not gonna lie…I have already written about New Year’s Day! A. Ton. Of. Times! I have written all my feelings about it and my lengthy list of traditions. So some of this you may have read or heard from me before but here’s the deal… 1. Everything I’ve written, bears repeating because it applies every year and is all VERY good stuff, AND 2. Traditions are important! They run strong in my veins…

Let Faith and Gratitude Guide You

Hi y’all, it’s me, Hope and I have to send out a little Hopeservations message of gratitude to all my loved ones and the Universe! So here is a thought for today… It is November 28th and our entire nation is giving thanks on this day…and I am no different! I am incredibly grateful and thankful for all my blessings and even the blessings that come to me in a backwards manner. Only not everyone looks a life in a similar manner! After all, on this day, does that mean concern about an outcome or event goes away? No – not usually…however, allow this day to be a catalyst to…

Always Keep A Little Beach Day In Your Heart

Always keep a shell your pocket and you’ll forever carry a little beach day in your heart. Hey y’all – it’s Hope here and I’m coming ‘atcha with a quick little Hopeservations on this chilly Florida morning. When I was very young, just a little girl – my father taught me this wonderful little lesson. “Always keep a shell your pocket and you’ll forever carry a little beach day in your heart.” Probably because we couldn’t always be together as I went back and forth between my mom in the mountains of Georgia and my dad on the Gulf Coast beaches of Florida. My two beautiful young divorced parents, so…

    To FIFTY and BEYOND!

“The natural flights of the human mind are not from pleasure to pleasure, but from hope to hope.” – Samuel Johnson Hey y’all, it’s Hope and I’m coming ‘atcha with a Hopeservations that’s a little personal in nature! It’s about being present and accounted for but also hopeful of what’s to come! So the countdown is OFFICIALLY on. I turned FORTY-NINE this past July… …and we all know what comes next!? *BIG GULP* (and I don’t mean the drink) Uhhhh YUP…FIFTY!!! So here is the bottom line. I have these months left before I encounter this new and exciting decade. So many people dread their 50’s, as if the last…

    Keep Showing Up!

Hey y’all! Hope here and I know, I know…it has been a minute!!! I haven’t actively posted to my blog in over a month, which is a huge slow down for me. Not going to lie, I’ve had a LOT going on in life centered around CHANGE! Change with my career, a whole new team of people surrounding me at work and the innovative vibe that comes with that, some new roles, celebrating my kids and their academics, while balancing their extra curricular demands, and so much more. Everything is all very exciting, positive and unfolding as it is meant to, but certainly it is requiring the majority of my…

    Divine Order

Hey beloved readers! It’s Hope here…wanting to share the love of DIVINE ORDER! So yesterday I gave a quick shout out to “PATIENCE” because let’s be real…these last few weeks of getting back to the ebb and flow of my more daily home/career/wife/mom/friendship routine has really required a lot of it. I’m used to managing my life in a pretty balanced manner and this school year, the start of it has proved to be anything but balanced! I mean, life changes and WHEW WHEE, I have experienced loads of that around here lately…and usually I love and embrace change, but admittedly it’s taking me longer then my normal week or…

    Patience

“Adopt the pace of Mother Nature, her secret is patience.” – Unknown “You can’t jump from little things to big things. It just takes time and patience.” – Nadia Comaneci Hey y’all! It’s Hope and it’s another beautiful day and the first official day of Fall. Fall in Florida is pretty much like summer in Florida – only with pumpkin spice everything and maybe a few cooler temps before 9am. So today I’m going to talk about something that is a battle for me. When I say battle, I mean it’s something I truly have to be aware of…and here lately I’ve been requiring loads of it! PATIENCE! Yup…good ‘ole…

I Got 99 Problems but the Beach Ain’t One

You had me at “Let’s go watch a sunrise.” Only it is me, asking myself out on my nearly daily morning date. You know – because you can never have too many sunrise, morning and beach moments in your life. Even as summer fades and I get back to the steady, daily world of loving and serving my family and others through education, I stay my course. Why? Because “Beautiful Beginnings” are important and I’ve been dedicated to my practice for over ten years now. Certainly there’s been some natural changes that organically occur as a result of morning routines that alter every year but some form of beautiful beginnings…

    Home

“The more one does and sees and feels, the more one is able to do, and the more genuine may be one’s appreciation of fundamental things like home, and love, and understanding companionship.” – Amelia Earhart Hey y’all! Hope coming at ya with a super quick BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS about “HOME”… Tonight I drove back from taking Sadie for her first little mani/pedi in preparation of her Homecoming dance, we took the scenic drive along the river which is closest to our house and just chatted away like we do. As I approached my street after a very full day of all that I love and pulled into my driveway, I…

    Live Everyday with Intention!

Hey y’all! So here is a thing we’re gonna talk about today! It has been almost four days since Dorian safely passed our coastline and town and I head to the beach for my beautiful beginnings, grateful in every way to have been spared another storm. Some storms have been worse for our family then others. I am reminded of Charley in 2004. The irony, Charley wasn’t supposed to do much. It was supposed to slow down as it crossed the state. I hadn’t even payed attention because by the time it was to get to us, it was supposed to be a much smaller storm. Guess what? It didn’t.…
