About Hopeservations

Hope + Observations = Hopeservations

Welcome to Hopeservations.

A place to find Hope everyday!

My goal is for this blog to become your retreat. An inviting place for those who appreciate stories about spreading hope and sharing observations as we navigate & digest all the perfectly imperfect aspects of life and the Hopeservations we find in these moments.

What is Hopeservations?

Hopeservations are self reflective nourishments to our soul, ever actualizing healthy habits, and the human desire to connect. It’s mindful, meditative moments that help us grow emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. It’s authentic understanding and transparent vulnerability, that delves in to the human perspective about hope, love, laughter, grace, gratitude, compassion, inspiration, learning to let go, stress relief, pick-me ups, travel, motherhood and various aspects of parenting. It offers balanced insight, practices and thoughtful dialogue for ALL humans looking to relate and feel accepted. Hopeservations are any hopeful observation in life.

Who is Hope?

I am a Florida girl, sports mom, wife, teacher by day, freelance blogger by night, intuitive reader, licensed minister, story teller, Harley rider, work out enthusiast, lover of observations, all things coastal, soulful, spiritual, metaphysical, educational, and being real about being human. I have studied and taught abroad in Brighton, England, as well as in Florida. I have been serving teens and helping families in the field of Special Education and Alternative Education in the Florida Dept of Juvenile Justice since 1994. I hold two degrees, in Early Childhood Education and Special Education specializing in Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities. I specialize in developing behavior intervention plans, IEP’s and assisting teens and their families with transition to the post-secondary world. I was a high school competitive cheer coach before my life as a mom! I am a skilled intuitive reader, utilizing many tools and attend metaphysical fairs around the state of Florida. I have studied and practice TM since I was nine and have continued with that practice off and on my whole life! As a life long learner and teacher, there is nothing I love more than to share all I have learned along the way. One of my greatest joys is working with others to mentor, guide, help develop life plans and truly connect on an authentic level in this journey we call life!

So welcome to Hopeservations, where spreading hope and sharing observations come together to be your, “Place To Find Hope Everyday!”

    Give Love a Fighting Chance!

    06/17/2021 /

Once upon a time, I happened upon a quick read about how to evolve or remain! I wish I knew who to credit, because it was magic…but it basically went like this… We are all faced with a choice to evolve or remain. We can choose to remain unchanged but in doing so we will forever be presented with the same situations, same routines, same problems, same challenges, same frustrating results. Until (or unless) we learn to love ourselves to the point of saying, “ENOUGH!” and so we begin to change. This creates an opportunity for us to evolve. As we evolve, we connect to the strength within us, which…

    Grateful to say Thank You!

    07/26/2020 /

“There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy.” — Ralph H. Blum Hey lovely people, it’s me – Hope! I have to send out a little Hopeservations message of thanks and gratitude to all my loved ones and the Universe! Seven days after my birthday and I’m blessed that the birthday wishes, comments, emails, texts, calls, cards, visits, gifts and GENUINE LOVE keep flowing my way! Since last Sunday, I have been delightfully spoiled! I loved our simple celebration. It was perfect for me… I was also BLESSED with the GIFT of TIME…and fun spontaneous moments because those are gifts too! All too often, gratitude…

When you choose to love, do it all the way!

    04/25/2020 /

There’s a quote that goes, “Real love doesn’t meet you at your best. It meets you in your mess.” I don’t know who to credit for it but it got me to thinking… So heyyyy all my beloved people…here’s just a little Hopeservations about love. I know I gravitate toward certain topics a LOT. Beautiful beginnings, meditation, spirituality, mindful moments, gratitude, balance, hope and yeah…LOVE…are just a few! This one is for whoever needs to hear it. Which as far as I can tell, tends to be all of us at some stage or another. After-all, we’ve all found ourselves stumbling our way through it… REPEATEDLY! No matter the age,…

Love, One Choice at a Time!

    07/14/2019 /

Hey y’all…Hope here with another one of my Hopeservations and this one is straight from the HEART… As of July 15, 2019, I am officially 23 days from the start of my 26th year in education. WOW! As I write 26 years, it seems hard for me to believe. And yet, these 23 days are 23 days before I get back to one of my GREATEST passions and I thought about this quote that I posted to my Instagram a few years ago “You never lose by loving, you always lose by holding back.” – Barbara DeAngelis As children, we typically love unconditionally but somewhere along the way, as we age…

All week, I have been blessed with surprise gifts, lunches, lots of outings doing what I love most, little trinkets, lunches & dinners with my husband, mom, family and friends! This Precious Privilege

    07/12/2018 /

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. – Marcus Aurelius. I always loved the personal writings, “The Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius. It is fascinating when one can learn about the private thinkings that were meant as a source for a man’s own guidance and self-improvement, especially when it is someone that has held such historical importance. Recording private notes to himself and ideas on Stoic philosophy, these intellectual, philosophical thoughts have had an impact on all of mankind, perhaps BECAUSE he followed a philosophy of Stoicism and in translation, his words…

How a Grandmother’s Love & Dishsoap Reminded Me Change is Inevitable

    07/07/2018 /

I grew up with my Grandma Hope always keeping a bottle of green Palmolive dish soap either sitting in the corner of her kitchen sink or neatly tucked under the cabinet. She had used it for so long, her kitchen had a faint scent of it lingering in the air. If you never used Palmolive, the scent is hard to describe because it wasn’t fruity or flowery but it was clean, pure, classic, nostalgic even and unmistakeable to Palmolive and my grandmother’s kitchen. I am almost 48 and up until very recently washing dishes with this particular brand of dish detergent used to always evoke strong emotions of my Grandma…

    My Brave Heart

    06/17/2018 /

My father set the bar really high for what this day stands for and I miss everything about him. In the earliest of years, the memories are few but vivid, tickling me, flying me high on his feet, helping me brush my teeth, finding me in the cabinet licking peanut butter off a spoon, tucking me in at night. Then as time went on, it was my excitement to get off the plane knowing he would be on the other side of those doors waiting for me, the cool rush of the air conditioned airport as I stepped out into the waiting area, my eyes adjusting to the bright light…

    In The Spirit Of Love

    02/15/2018 /

“You shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” – Mark 12:30 As the sun set on Valentine’s, and the day came to pass…the usual thought came to mind that we don’t truly need a day to celebrate love. We can celebrate love all the days of our lives. Love is much like a ray of light that expands into a rainbow as it passes through a prism. Love exists as multiple expressions in our lives! Knowing that love is everywhere – present around me, within me and as me – assures…
