Don’t Wait!
Hey y’all…it’s me!
So…driving home from dinner at Tia Cori’s last night…best and most authentic little Mexican restaurant in all of Daytona, on Beach St. with great outside seating, river breezes and views of life passing by…when I noticed the light and shadows playing across the water as the sun set. The warm glow, encroaching darkness, with the sailboat framed against the bridge.
It caught my eye.
I quickly pulled over and walked up the Main St. Bridge to snap a few pictures as I faced ISB Bridge.
This isn’t new to me.
I always stop to enjoy life’s little moments. It’s pretty much what makes me, me and a bigger part of why I love living in Florida.
I do this either on my own or with the kids and luckily, life and nature present an endless bounty of stoppable opportunities. For some reason I prefer to capture the moments, maybe it is the creative side in me but you don’t have too yet you do actually have to STOP!
So as I am taking pictures while standing on the little sidewalk edging the bridge with cars racing by me so fast the drawbridge shakes, it drew to mind a quote…
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller.
Gen X’ers will know the movie and hopefully the quote too.
The bigger point is, if you happen to be reading this…please stop every once in awhile to enjoy the unexpected, unplanned beautiful moments.
Don’t wait!
Because life has a way of moving pretty fast and you don’t want to miss it!

I always say, “Stop and look at the palm trees. Not everyone is fortunate to have them.” They’re not in Chicago!🌴🌴

How right you are…and I know many people that never quite make it to Florida! Luckily you did and what a blessed day yesterday ending up being. The only thing that would have made it better was if you were with us at Tia Cori’s! Next Friday!!! 💜❤️⚓️

Love the Ferris Bueller reference!! We always wish for life to hurry to get to the weekend but definitely important to enjoy every day along the way.

Hi Marie! I think the more we enjoy all the moments as they come, the less we need to focus on weekends and vacations to “escape” our daily lives…and it is a great lesson for our children too… Thanks for reading!!! ❤️⚓️
