What Is Reality
What is reality? How often do we consider the definition of reality? When you look up reality these are some common definitions…
“Reality means the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them • a thing that is actually experienced or seen • a thing that exists in fact, having previously only existed in one’s mind”
It also is quite entrenched in psychology where the reality principle is the ability of the mind to assess the external world, and to act upon it accordingly, as opposed to acting on the pleasure principle.
• How many of us actively create our own reality or simply talk about a dream endlessly, while never following through to making that a reality?
• How many are able to abstain from acting on a short term pleasure principle long enough to follow through on fulfilling their own actual long term desired reality?
• How many become sidetracked from their original dream before actualizing their reality because someone else’s reality interferes and they convince themselves it is better then what had been their own?
• How many quickly become reliant upon another’s reality or thought they were in alignment about creating a common reality then slowly veer off course until what had been a dream, goal, plan, is no longer close to the aligned reality?
This happens all the time. We all see it daily. Dream killers and unfulfilled realities. Certainly life happens yet when we don’t fulfill the reality of our dreams, resentment and regret can occur. After-all, whatever we focus on, we create – including the reality of our making or the reality that just sort of happened.
Is there something you have been wanting to pursue – a passion, a dream – yet all those reality killers have created blocks or barriers to your time and effort.
If the thing you long to do is something you feel drawn to fulfill – and you have the determination, will, and strength to follow through – then know the Spirit within will help you find a way to succeed!
We fulfill our realities through us following through on the potential possibilities God has planted within us.
”And the Lord said, “…this is only the beginning of what they will do; nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” – Genesis 11:6
So embrace the potential, while knowing the dreams are endless! Have a dream, set date, create a solid goal, break the goal into steps so it becomes a plan, back the plan with action so that becomes YOUR reality!
Now, I am curious…tell me…what is a DREAM you are currently turning into a REALITY?
As always…
Go in love,
