Let Your Heart Sing

Hi beautiful people…it’s Hope here and this is my offering to you on May 17, 2020!

Just like the waves of our magical seas, our lives will have days that are stormy, where it feels we are spiraling and crashing about.

We may even feel in over our heads…

If it gets too bad, don’t be afraid to call out.

Whoever your lifeguard may be…find that person or place!

For some, they are their own lifeguard. Perhaps it is to sit in silence. Taking in nature’s bounty. Some learn and heal the most when they retreat and create a moment to simply sit still and listen to the rhythms of life, with an open heart.

Be still

Close your eyes

Bring awareness to your breath

Connect with your internal world

Feel the light of your soul

Accept your truth

Forgive and love yourself

Fill your mind with gratitude

Finding your bliss

Taking it all in

For others it is a combination of being still and reaching out to whatever spiritual guide, God, the Universe, or a Higher Power that can bring you strength or maybe even someone that understands what you may be going through to offer help and if nothing else, an ear and solace.

Maybe it is the simplest of gifts that they offer and they give you one of their smiles when you’re having difficulty finding your own…

But this I can promise, none of us are ever alone!

Read that a few times if need be. Let that sink in…

Soon your beautiful seas will calm down and you may become the one that hears the call of another…and you go to their aid to become their lifeguard.

Maybe you become their spiritual teacher or guide. I have had many spiritual teachers in my lifetime and in turn been one for many others.

Life is a circle of happiness, sadness, hard times and good…

If you are having hard times, be hopeful with your knowledge that good times are on the horizon!

Just remember, “pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.” This quote, made popular by Haruki Murakami, is an old Buddhist saying that I love.

It resonates with me on so many levels, in that we are all going to feel pain…it is inevitable…and often times even necessary as it reminds us to be joyful and express gratitude when times are good!

However to stay in a dark place of suffering is optional. When your place of pain becomes so great, that your soul and psyche become ruled by your wounds, it is time to take the steps necessary to reclaim your light.

Seek out your lifeguard, no matter how hard, whether from within or another…and know

“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.” – Bernard Williams

After-all, in the immortalized words of Bob Marley,

“Rise up this mornin’,
Smiled with the risin’ sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin’ sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin’, “This is my message to you”

Now you know the rest…so go ahead and let your heart sing…
